Research Areas for 2007 PDF Print E-mail

Magellan conducts research on topics immediately relevant to work environments. Research may be augmented by twenty esteemed Senior Fellows from diverse disciplines. The Center continues to maintain and build its
Research Library for secondary economic research data useful to Coloradoans.

Magellan also conducts Primary Research, by contract. Three projects for 2006-07:

  • Explore the connection between current public education curriculum emphasis - relative to specific workforce realities. How does that connection affect local economies?
  • Explore national economic development practices. Identify best practices and career development paths. Provide feedback to city and county officials.
  • Explore the relationship between professional engineers and the Colorado economy. Colorado attracts energy, aerospace, technology and science companies that employ engineers in many specialties. How are Coloradoans impacted by this financial dynamic?
